Changing Shapes

A series that take basic term from nature and give it a new interpretation with sand animation visual and associative that perform the world and its phenomenons in a new poetic form link together terms from nature and human.

The series is an environmental series aimed to find relations between human and nature.

Open for all ages.

Why sand?
It's a unique medium. It can be colorfull or dull. And by moving it the image that created simple and not orgenized painting the words in a simple and not pretending way.

Terms
Each term is reproduced in a very simple way. nature in its basic form. The compositions are simple and minimalist. Each term by assosiations figurally and thematically leads to the

next level till the real connection between ourselves and nature.

Duration

It's a 1 minute per chapter.

WIND first shot

I enclose the first shot background. it's simple and with a perspecse sheet
as a layer I 'll do the storm animation.
It has two variations of blue and with the layer it won't mix up.
It's a 6 second shot and it's gonna be fast.

אור השמש


כף יד פרושה. רגל. האור מתנצנץ.
מעבה יער עד. בסבך, קרני השמש עושות
פוטוסינטזה לצמחים.
האור בא. נצנוץ. הצבע משתנה מכתום לכחול. זריחה.
התחלה חדשה. הבוקר בא
לבני האדם. עשירים, עניים, השמש לא מבדילה.

SUNLIGHT
An outstretched hand. A leg. The light sparkles.
Dense perpetual forest. In the thicket, rays of the sun make photosynthesis with the plants.
The light is coming. Sparkling. The colour changes from orange to blue. Dawn.
A new beginning. The morning comes to human beings.
Rich or poor, the sun does not discriminate.

La lumière solaire
Une main ouverte. Un pied. La lumière scintille.
Une forêt dense. Dans la broussaille, les rayons du soleil font de la photosynthèse aux plantes.
La lumière perce, scintille. La couleur passe de l'orange au bleu. Le soleil se lève. Un nouveau commencement. Le jour pointe pour les hommes, les pauvres et les riches, le soleil ne fait de discrimination.

WIND second chapter

I add the animatik for this chapter. It's much different from WATER since it
have a more usage of the medium. however I use more transitions from each shot
basically in sand and some camera movements. Some of it I'll do in the post.
It's more complex movie by its theme and by its animation.

רוח. סופת צקלון דוהרת. הרס ואבדון.
גלי הים הגבוהים, לא נמלט מהם אדם.
בקלי קלות לוטפת הרוח כבסים, מיבשת.
שובל רך של קצף גלים נושא את הסירה עם הרוח.
הרוח באה. משב. ועוד אחד. משב
של ילד קטן המחזיק בידו שבשבת.
הכנפיים נעות. תנועה מתואמת היטב.
גרגיר ועוד גרגיר נטחנת החיטה, עד שיאפה הלחם
חם, טרי, משביע.

WIND

Wind. Racing cyclone storm. Ruin and destruction.
The high waves of the sea, no man can escape them.
With the lightest of touches the wind caresses the laundered clothes, dries them.
A soft trail of foaming surf carries the boat with the wind.
The wind is coming. A gust. And another. Breath of a little boy holding a weather-vane in his hand.
The wings move. A well-matched movement.Grain after grain the wheat is milled, till the bread is baked, hot, fresh, satisfying

Le vent

Le vent. Une violente tempête se déchaîne. Ravage et destruction.
Les vagues de l'océan sont hautes, nul ne peut leur échapper.
Avec une étonnante légèreté, le vent caresse le linge et le sèche.
Un fin sillage d'écume blanche porte la barque dans le vent qui s'approche.
Le vent arrive par bouffées. Bouffées d'air provenant d'un moulinet que tient un petit garçon. Les ailes tournent. Le mouvement est bien coordonné.
Grain par grain, le blé est moulu qui deviendra du pain chaud, frais et nourrissant.

Technique: color sand on light table

I add few sketchs in pencil. Due to the remarks on WATER, this movie will be more flowing

and abstract. Also I intend to do more transitions in sand and to do more complex compositions

This movie will be with more usage of the medium.

I add the first page from the storyboard.

The images will be very fast well, lets say very nature very similar to what's going on when a real storm happenes.

Part of it will move rapidlly and go fast with transition to the next shot.

מים

מים. מברישים הכל, שוטפים. זרם עז. כוס מים.
הגשם בא.
אגלי הטל בבוקר. שוטפים, יובשים, מתאדים בקרני החמה,
נאגרים בשכבות האטמוספירה.
ענן נוצר. לבן. מליוני מליונים של טיפות מים.
רק רגע אחד והכל יפרוץ בזרם עז, שוטף ,
נושא ברכה לאדם ולחי

WATER

Water. Sweeping all aside, in spate. Powerful current. Cup of water.
Rain is coming.
Drops of dew in the morning. Drenching, drying, reddening in the rays of the sun, stored in the strata of the atmosphere.
A cloud created. White. Millions of millions of droplets of water.
One moment more and all will erupt in a powerful, surging current,
Bringing blessing to man and to beast.

L'eau
L'eau. Tout est nettoyé, lavé. Un courant puissant. Un verre d'eau. La pluie tombe.
Des perles de rosée au petit jour. Elles lavent, sèchent, s'évaporent aux rayons du soleil et s'amoncellent dans les couches de l'atmosphère.
Un nuage se forme, tout blanc. Des multitudes de gouttes d'eau.
Soudain, l'eau jaillit en un courant puissant, abondant, bienfaisant pour l'homme et les animaux.
